POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an educational servant leader to join our international school community as the Administrative Director. The Administrative Director is responsible, either directly or through delegation, for the leadership of all educational, operational, and financial aspects of the School. As the sole direct employee of the Board, the Administrative Director is also the person through whom the board ensures that the mission and vision of the school are being met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

Operational Policies: responsible, either directly or via managed delegation, for the development, maintenance and articulation of all Operational Policies.

Effective Leadership: responsible, either directly or via managed delegation, for effective leadership of all aspects of the school including staff administration, staff professional development, event management and relationships with stakeholders, some suggested details of which are in.

Interaction with the Board: as the sole employee of the Board, is the person through whom the Board ensures that the mission and vision are being met.

To achieve this, the Administrative Director shall:

  • Prepare reports for and attend Board meetings every other month and other contingency meetings as a non-voting member.
  • Prepare an Administrative Director report for each Board meeting highlighting key information about the operations of the school as requested by the Board, and identifying any threats to the school that are arising.
  • Prepare or supervise the preparation of the annual budget in line with Board policy, and present these to the Board and organizational for approval.
  • Take an active part in their own annual review, discussing annual targets with the Board and identifying resources required to meet these targets.
 

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Education, or Educational Leadership or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years senior leadership experience. Senior leadership experience in more than one setting and educational leadership experience. 
  • Skills:
    • Excellent written and spoken communication in English
    • Ability to foster healthy team dynamics
    • Problem solving and conflict resolution skills
    • Ability to adapt and learn quickly
  • Personal
    • Active participant in a local Christian community
    • Team player, balancing the need to lead and be led
