JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Dietitian Specialist, you will assess patient nutritional needs through establishing care plans, appropriate therapeutic diet or nutrition support regimen and maintain professional competency and skills required for professional practice. You will work for a prestigious healthcare provider in Saudi Arabia. Based in Riyadh, but at times travelling throughout Saudi Arabia while providing Concierge Clinical Dietitian Services. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Uses Standards of Practice, evaluates nutrition status of patients and prescribes, implements, evaluates (initial and ongoing), and documents an appropriate nutritional care plan in a timely manner.
• Calculates patients’ Nutritional needs to determine the optimal Nutritional Supplement for both oral and tube feeding.
• Using Standards of Practice, evaluates nutrition status of patients and prescribes, implements, evaluates (initial and ongoing), and documents an appropriate nutritional care plan in a timely manner.
• Contributes to an inter-disciplinary approach to patient care. Attends rounds and team conferences to exchange information related to patient care and discharge planning.
• Educates patients and family members on appropriate diet modification and provides educational materials accordingly.
• Initiates or participates in quality improvement activities to enhance nutrition care that is safe and effective.
• Highlights Food-Drug interaction and document to Clinical staff & in the Medical chart
• Participates in continuous learning to update knowledge of current developments in clinical nutrition continuing education requirements, as per Saudi Commission for Health Specialties requirements.
• Participates in self and others’ education, training, and development, as applicable.
• Maintains confidentiality of all information and ensure treatment related details are handled in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Follows all related policies and procedures.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master's (Preferred) or Bachelor's Degree (Required) in Clinical Nutrition
• Minimum of one (1) years of experience with Master's or three (3) years with Bachelor's
• Current license or certification to practice Clinical Nutrition
