POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Medicine Physician to join our dynamic and fast-paced Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered medical care to individuals with urgent and emergent health conditions. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and treating a wide range of illnesses and injuries in a high-pressure environment that demands rapid decision-making and exceptional clinical skills.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Provide immediate and effective medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department.
  • Perform diagnostic tests, interpret results, and make informed clinical decisions quickly.
  • Coordinate with nursing staff, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure timely and appropriate patient management.
  • Perform emergency procedures such as intubations, central line placements, suturing, fracture management, and resuscitation.
  • Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Triage and prioritize patient care based on acuity and resource availability.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, continuing medical education (CME), and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and protocols, including those related to infection control and patient safety.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM).
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications.
  • Strong clinical judgment, diagnostic skills, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
