JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Field Service Engineer with a solid background in maintenance mining. In this role, you will be responsible for performing maintenance tasks, system checks, and statutory tests to ensure the control system's effectiveness and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of maintenance practices in a mining environment and the ability to work efficiently and independently.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support and maintain autonomous machines in operational sites.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of the auto-electrical systems.
- Collaborate with specialists for system improvements.
- Coach employees on standard systems operation.
- Manage software updates and backups.
- Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and clients.
- Engage with on-site technicians for knowledge sharing and development.
- Provide After-Hours Breakdown Support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Relevant Engineering degree or trade qualification
- Mine site experience and understanding of mining operations
- Auto-electrical experience and hands-on experience in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical faults and PLC systems
- Understanding of mobile-plant maintenance
- Deliver accurate documentation and technical reports
- Effective communication in client-facing situations
A clear pre-employment medical screen (which includes D & A testing), and background check is a non-negotiable requirement of employment.
