POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an educational servant leader to join our international school community as the School Director. To lead and administer all aspects of the school’s mission, academic goals, school and labor-related functions and policies through the lens of the school’s Core Values. The Director is responsible to ensure that all aspects of the academic, administrative and student life teams function smoothly in accordance with school policies and Kyrgyz laws.
The ideal candidate for the Director position is an experienced and dynamic educational leader with a deep commitment to academic excellence and community engagement. They possess strong collaboration skills, particularly in working with the Ministry of Education, and have a proven track record of successfully implementing educational policies and programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
LEADERSHIP & EXAMPLE

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE
- Ensure accreditation standards are met through ongoing review and improvement.
- Support and develop academic leaders and teaching staff through targeted professional development.
DAILY OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT
- Set and align medium and long-term goals with the school’s mission.
- Review and maintain school policies to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and safety.
- Oversee finances, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure sustainability and stewardship.
- Supervise key leaders and manage the admissions process in line with the school’s mission.
STAFF DEVELOPMENT
- Collaborate with HR to recruit, train, and develop qualified staff.
- Manage staff performance, providing growth and development opportunities.
- Foster a unified, collaborative, and purposeful staff community.
CULTIVATE A POSITIVE ATMOSPHERE
- Build strong relationships with all stakeholders and ensure effective communication.
- Address concerns and conflicts to ensure resolutions that align with school values.
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Master’s in Education, or Educational Leadership or a related field (required for legal status in-country).
- Experience: 3-5 years Educational Administrative experience (American context preferable) and 3-5 years classroom experience.
- Skills:
- Financial and operational management experience, demonstrating a track record of effective budget management and resource stewardship.
- Meets ACSI certification requirements or is willing to get ACSI certification.
- Strong strategic thinking and visionary leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a large and diverse school community.
- Preferred
- Advanced theological training.
- Degrees or certifications in Christian or Organizational Leadership or similar.
- Previous experience as Director / Head of School
- International and cross-cultural Christian service experience.
- Pastoral gifting with experience caring for a large, multicultural community.
