Consultant Radiologist (Ref#011)

Bahrain
Full Time
Experienced

Position Overview

This role sits at the center of a well-established healthcare provider in Bahrain that serves a broad patient population with genuine clinical depth. You will work within a radiology department that handles high volumes across multiple modalities — and you will be expected to bring both technical precision and clinical judgment from day one.

The primary need is ultrasound expertise, specifically in women's imaging. That means obstetric anomaly scans, OB/GYN ultrasound, and breast imaging, including the ability to perform breast biopsies. You will also take on CT and MRI reporting as part of a well-rounded caseload. This is not a narrowly specialized post — it rewards radiologists who are confident across the board.

If you are a female Consultant Radiologist with strong women's imaging skills and a solid foundation in general radiology, this is a role where your expertise will be put to real use in a professionally supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Women's Imaging & Ultrasound

  • Perform and report obstetric anomaly scans and OB/GYN ultrasound examinations
  • Conduct breast imaging assessments and execute breast biopsy procedures
  • Serve as a clinical resource for complex women's imaging cases within the department

Cross-Modality Reporting

  • Report CT and MRI scans across a range of clinical indications
  • Contribute to general radiology reporting volumes as part of the wider department workload
  • Apply musculoskeletal (MSK) radiology skills where applicable

Clinical Collaboration

  • Work closely with referring clinicians to ensure timely, accurate diagnostic reporting
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions and clinical meetings as required
  • Uphold quality standards and contribute to departmental protocols and audit processes

Qualifications

Experience

  • Consultant-level experience in radiology, with a track record of independent practice
  • Demonstrated competency in breast imaging and women's ultrasound, including interventional procedures
  • Experience with obstetric scanning, particularly anomaly scans
  • General radiology reporting experience across CT and MRI modalities

Technical Knowledge

  • Proficiency in ultrasound across women's health applications, including OB/GYN and breast
  • Competency in CT and MRI reporting across general clinical presentations
  • Ability to perform image-guided procedures, specifically breast biopsies
  • MSK specialization is a valued advantage

Leadership & Communication

  • Clear and confident communicator with clinical teams and referring physicians
  • Organized, dependable, and able to manage workload independently within a structured department
  • Committed to maintaining high clinical standards and participating in quality improvement

Work Environment

You will be based full-time on-site at an established healthcare facility in Bahrain. The role operates within a structured radiology department that supports a wide patient base, including significant women's health services. Bahrain offers a professionally mature healthcare environment with a well-developed expatriate community and strong infrastructure for international medical professionals.
