Anesthesiologist (Ref#012)

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Anesthesiologist provides full-scope anesthesia care for a variety of procedures, including ortho, OB/GYN, and eye cases. Duties include preoperative assessments, administering anesthesia, and post-operative care in an independent, collaborative environment.

Job Specific Details: Full time, 40 hrs/week, day shift with a 1:5 call rotation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Preoperative Assessment: Evaluate patients' medical histories and conduct thorough assessments to determine appropriate anesthesia plans tailored to individual needs.
• Anesthesia Administration: Administer general, regional, or local anesthesia during surgical or diagnostic procedures, monitoring patients closely for any signs of adverse reactions.
• Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen levels, etc.) during procedures and adjust anesthetic levels as needed to maintain patient safety and comfort.
• Postoperative Care: Oversee patients' recovery from anesthesia, ensuring proper management of any pain or complications.
• Emergency Response: Be prepared to manage any anesthesia-related emergencies, such as allergic reactions, airway obstructions, or cardiovascular issues.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care before, during, and after procedures.

IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Education: MD/DO Degree from an accredited College of Medicine.
• Experience: 2+ Years of Anesthesia experience required
• Licensing: 
  • Active Physician License
  • ACLS, PALS, and BLS required.
  • DEA License.
• Proficiency in blocks, lumbar punctures, and intubation is a bonus.
• Compassionate and detail-oriented, with strong communication and critical thinking skills.
